About the Project
Located just east of N. Oak on 85th Terrace, Highland View Park serves as place of relaxation and entertainment for all residents of the Highland View neighborhood, as well as for our friends and family. Unfortunately, in its 20+ years of existence, this 13+ acre park has never reached its full potential. Because of this, we've partnered with the city of Kansas City's Parks and Recreation department to design and build a brand new Highland View Park!
:: The Opportunity ::
Through the use of available city funds, the Highland View Neighborhood has the opportunity to make dramatic improvements to our neighborhood park. There wll be NO COST to neighborhood residents, and there will be no additional taxes in the funding of this effort. If we act now, there is a potential that this project could be complete in the next 12 months!
Potential Improvements:
- Updated / Modern Playground Equipment
- Age-Appropriate
- Climbing Equipment
- Ramps
- Slides
- Ladders
- Swings (Belt and Full-Bucket)
- And More!!!
- Improved Safety Features
- Shock-Absorbing Surfacing
- Paint and Finishes
- Park Benches
- Walking Path
